Interfaith Refugee Resettlement Program (IRRP)
Welcoming New Neighbors
Donations and Volunteering
How can I help?
Individuals, churches and other organizations often call us to find out how they can help our new neighbors. You, too, can become involved.
Here are some items on our current wish list. The needs of the refugees change with the number of new arrivals, so please check back!

|
- Picking up and delivering donations to clients
|
- Moving furniture and clothing to and from storage
|
- Tutoring English to new learners and readers in their homes

Volunteers are an essential part of the IRRP resettlement
Volunteers donate their time in many ways from delivering donations to clients to working directly with clients doing such things as helping them understand their bills, assisting with shopping and providing additional help with English. Some of our refugees cannot read and write in their own language or English and one-one help is especially beneficial to them.
The volunteer process begins with an interview and training process that provides the skills needed to work with the families IRRP serves. The volunteer coordinator is readily accessible throughout every volunteer's experience. |

Monetary
It takes money to resettle refugees. IRRP can always use additional funds to help serve our clients.
Some items the Refugee Program has an ongoing need for include:
Bus Vouchers! The English Classes need donations to help students purchase bus vouchers to get back and forth to class .
English Classes! Funding to assist in covering the cost of supplies for English Classes for adults.
Security Deposits! Assistance with helping a refugee pay a security deposit on a new apartment
.Please contact astoutimore@LSSNE.org for more ways your monetary donations can help!
You can mail your check to IRRP and mail to: Lutheran Social Services of New England,
261 Sheep Davis Rd, A-1, Concord, NH 03301, earmarked, "Interfaith Refugee Resettlement."
Thank you for your generosity!
Donations
Used laptops
Are you upgrading your laptop and want to give away yours? The ESOL class could use a couple of laptops, running Windows 2000 or higher to use in class.
Used Cassette and CD players
We are in need of a couple of cassette players/CD players with headsets for individuals to listen to cassettes while other ESOL students are engaged in other work.
Furniture and Clothing
Unfortunately, we have limited space and can no longer take clothing donations. Furniture needs vary according to the number of new arrivals. Because our needs for items changes periodically, please call first to see what furniture we may currently need. We can not take sleeper sofas.
Please contact astoutimore@LSSNE.org for all in-kind donations. Thanks so much!
